Nursing Intervention for Hypotention(low blood pressure)

Blood pressure(Hypotention) is the force exerted by circulating blood on the walls of blood vessels, and constitutes one of the principal vital signs of life, which also include heart beat, rate of breathing, and temperature. Blood pressure is generated by the heart pumping blood into the arteries and is regulated by the response by the arteries to the flow of blood.

Nursing Intervention for Hypotention(low blood pressure)
  • Elevate the legs of the person by placing pillow below the feet or if in a hospital setting place the client in trendelenburg position.
  • promote client's safety
  • monitor Vital sign's such as (blood pressure,plus,temperature)
  • promote client's/patient comfort
  • administer medication as ordered by the physician
  • Give emotional support client's and his family
